Petit Fours

Petit fours are small, bite-sized confections or desserts, traditionally served at the end of a meal or with tea. The term comes from the French meaning "small oven." There are two main types:

1. Glacé (glazed) These are iced or decorated cakes, often layered with fillings like jam or ganache, then coated in fondant or chocolate.
2. Sec (dry): These are small cookies, biscuits, or pastries that are not coated but still intricately made, such as macarons or meringues.

Petit fours are celebrated for their delicate presentation and variety, making them a popular choice for parties, weddings, or elegant gatherings.
